AAIM Celebrates the Opening of a 15 MW Data Center in Blue Earth, Minnesota

AAIM is thrilled to announce the official opening of its new, state-of-the-art 15-megawatt (MW) data center in Blue Earth, Minnesota. This milestone marks a significant achievement in AAIM’s mission to expand its footprint and deliver reliable, sustainable, and scalable infrastructure solutions to meet the demands of modern technology.

Strategically located to maximize efficiency and community collaboration, the Blue Earth Data Center is more than just a facility—it’s a testament to innovation, teamwork, and the drive to push boundaries in high-performance computing (HPC), crypto mining, and co-location services.

Built to Perform, Positioned for Success

One of the most striking aspects of the new data center is its strategic location. Situated on Highway 169 near Blue Earth Light and Water substation, this facility is perfectly positioned to leverage low-cost energy and robust fiber connectivity provided by Bevcomm. This prime location ensures operational efficiency while reducing infrastructure costs, providing AAIM’s clients with remarkable value.

Iggy Lai

Chief Marketing Officer

With over 18 years of expertise in client relations and strategic partnerships, Iggy Lai is a seasoned leader in driving revenue and fostering growth. Since joining GPU.One as Vice President of Business Development in 2017, Iggy has solidified his reputation as a leading data center specialist. He has been instrumental in assisting customers with over $200 million in equipment procurement and securing more than 80 MW of hosting space. Following GPU.One’s acquisition by HIVE Blockchain (NASDAQ/TSX) in 2021, Iggy took on the role of Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, further leveraging his expertise to drive meaningful collaborations and business expansion.

Now serving as Chief Marketing Officer, Iggy brings a results-driven mindset and a sharp focus on delivering value to both clients and stakeholders. Previously, Matthew served as Managing Director of Northern Data Asia, a division of a publicly traded company. During his tenure, he played a key role in driving the company’s initiatives and expanding its presence in the competitive global market. His deep knowledge and hands-on approach in managing complex infrastructures have made him a sought-after leader in the industry.

John Rim, CPA

Finance Executive

John Rim, CPA, is a seasoned finance executive with a distinguished career spanning leadership roles in high-profile organizations. He has held the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for multiple listed companies, including Bitfarms, a leader in cryptocurrency mining listed on NASDAQ, and has led strategic financial initiatives with impressive results. Previously, he served as Vice President of Taxation at Brookfield Residential Property Services, where he played a pivotal role in shaping financial and taxation frameworks.

John brings extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with over 20 deals completed, totaling over $3 billion in transaction value on both the buy and sell side, and achieving three successful exits. His capital markets experience includes leading listing processes on TSX, TSXV, and NASDAQ, showcasing his comprehensive understanding of public markets. Prior to his tenure at Peak Mining, Louis held several influential leadership roles that honed his skills in infrastructure management and innovation. As Director of Infrastructures and RND at Enovum Data Centres from 2020 to 2022, Louis oversaw comprehensive infrastructure initiatives and led advanced research and development projects that delivered impactful results. Before that, he served as VP of Infrastructure at Bitfarms, managing complex infrastructure frameworks and contributing to the company’s growth in blockchain technology during his term from 2017 to 2019.

Louis’s career is defined by his ability to lead teams, implement innovative solutions, and optimize infrastructure to meet the challenges of evolving technological landscapes.
