Extending our Minnesota footprint

In the heart of the industrial park, we are designing a 20 MW air-cooled facility. Minnesota 2 builds directly on the operating experience of our Blue Earth flagship, drawing on the same utility relationships, local workforce, and operating playbook that made the first site successful.

Siting inside an established industrial park matters more than it sounds. The land is already zoned and served, the heavy power and fiber routes are in place, and we are a neighbor to industry rather than to housing — which keeps noise, traffic, and construction impact where they belong. It is also what lets a project of this size move on a Q4 2026 timeline.

Why air-cooled

The facility rejects heat to the air rather than to water. In practice that means no evaporative water consumption to plan around, no water treatment program to run, and one less utility dependency between our clients and their uptime — a straightforward fit for Minnesota’s climate, where cool ambient air does much of the work for most of the year.

It also keeps the mechanical plant simple. Fewer systems in the loop means fewer things to maintain, fewer things to fail, and a facility our own team can service without bringing in a specialist contractor.

Built the way we build everything

As with every AAIM site, Minnesota 2 is designed, built, and operated in-house — giving clients a single accountable partner from power delivery through to remote hands, with no gap between the people who drew it and the people who run it.
