AAIM Divests Its Second Nebraska Facility

AAIM Data Centers has completed the sale of Nebraska 2, its 12.5 MW facility near Hastings, to a privately held company. Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.

Nebraska 2 broke ground in 2025 in partnership with Southern Power Public District and was energized earlier this year, bringing 12.5 MW of new regional capacity online. It leaves our portfolio as a complete, operating facility.

Why we sold

Building a site and holding a site are two different decisions. Nebraska 2 was well built, well sited, and well received — and it drew interest from buyers who wanted an operating facility rather than a development project.

Taking that offer lets us put capital and the attention of our engineering team behind the developments where we see the most demand: the Tier III expansion at Minnesota 1, and the two Minnesota sites now in development for late 2026. Following the divestiture of Nebraska 1 last year, this completes our exit from Nebraska.

What it means for clients

There is no change for clients at any other AAIM facility. Our Missouri and Minnesota sites are unaffected in capacity, staffing, and operations, and the team supporting them is the same team as before.

For anyone evaluating capacity, the portfolio is now concentrated where we are actively building: 10 MW online in Missouri with 50 MW in development, and two of our four Minnesota sites energized at 22.5 MW today, with a further 110 MW secured or in design.
